    Generally very good and very pleasant but do make sure that you get the vehicle checked at the end of the rental period as they will look to make additional charges. We got charge for Special Cleaning. In the boot there was sand from our trips to the beach, they stated that this needed special cleaning and they charged our Credit Card. Two minutes with a Vacuum Cleaner would of sorted it and would of been done as part of the general clean from returning a vehicle. So make sure you check everything and make sure that someone from Gold signs off your contract as being completed with no further charges. That said the cars are in very good condition on collection and I have used them again since, but are now very wary of how I return the vehicle and ALWAYS get the vechicle signed off on return.

    They even agreed to check over the car with me before I left and updated the damage sheet with all the extra scratches and marks (which might sound like something that should ALWAYS happen, but more often than not other Goldcar locations won’t even do that).

    Very miss leading booking format, I reserved a car and pay online. When I get to the airport, they said they upgrade the car free of charge but add diesel surcharge which only appeared after I signed and paid. Also they imposed me taking full coverage where if I don't they will take 2000€ deposit and the full coverage ended up twice as much as the rental price. On top of that they charged on my card for the fuel and said they will only refund them when I return with full tank and this was not mentioned when I book the car. Be warned!

    UPDATE: the social media team representative did eventually help me get my refund. But it really shouldn’t have been that hard. Terrible customer service and watch out for new LIMITED mileage policy at this location.

    I had to phone up to be told this was because of excess mileage. I thought this must be a mistake as my agreement states very clearly UNLIMITED MILEAGE. I opened an incident with Goldcar expecting the mistake to be rectified but was instead told the agreement was for limited mileage for any FULL to FULL rental despite the website actually saying completely the opposite.

    Their claimed ‘limited’ mileage at Alicante airport is also one of the most expensive I’ve ever seen (limited to 90km/day with €0.40 / km excess).

    I returned the car on time, with NO damage and FULL petrol and to my horror have now found they charged my credit card €260 with no email or other notification as to why.

    Booked with Goldcar last year through a 3rd Party and the service was excellent. Super quick collection of car from arriving at office to getting in the car was less than 30mins. Return procedure extremely quick too.

    Well, I’m out of pocket again because of Goldcar. I was going to give this location 5 stars as everything appeared to go fine. The agents were friendly when I picked up the car and didn’t try pushy sales tactics to sell their over priced insurance (and accepted I had my own excess insurance which you really need if not purchasing theirs).

    If I could give 'no stars' I would. If you don't take out their own insurance, be very very careful. They will rip you off! When I told the desk employee that I had my own insurance, she made it very clear she was not happy. I believe they are on a commission to sell their own insurance. The car had not been cleaned since the previous hire and there were many bumps, scratches and scuffs which had been ambiguously marked on the contract. Unfortunately, due to a late flight arrival, I did not have the time to request a different car. My mistake! About a week after I had returned home I received a 'no-reply' email stating they had already taken €150 for a couple of small scuffs they claim I had caused. I had not! There was no email address or telephone in the email for me to make contact with them. Disgusting customer service, avoid them if you can.

    I for one have cancelled all future rentals with Goldcar, and am now much more happily paying more and using Avis again.
